Graduation Day!

My sister is graduating college today!  I remember graduating like it was yesterday.  We're all getting older so quickly!  She's the youngest in my generation of cousins and now she's enterring the working world!  I'm so proud of her.  Congratulations Lydia!

In other exciting news, I think I've found the tv I'm finally going to get.  I should be getting it from Costco this weekend.  WOOT!  Now I just need to find a tv stand to put it on, which is not the easiest thing.  The tv looks SWEEEEET!

Yesterday I also broke out my new favorite tie!! It's so tight!  It's a penguin tie and its the slim kind.  (You know the slim ties that Ryan Seacrest or JT wears.)  So its a long slim black tie with cool material and at the bottom of the tie, there's a penguin outlined.  It's HOT!  I think I want to get more.

Other than that 22 days until my CFA test.  I can feel the heat!  So much studying I hope it pays off.  I can't wait to have fun after it!

Oh and one more thing, my gf is the best!!! I love her =)

May Fever

I no longer have to go to work with my coat anymore.  Know what that means?  Soon it'll be warm enough to start playing outside!!  Woot!  We're in the thick of Spring and soon it'll be Summerlovin'!  Anyways I don't really have much to update with my life right now.  Just studying away and prepping for my CFA test in a month!!   I did go see the new Nationals Stadium and I must say I really liked it.  It seemed like wherever you were in the ballpark, you had a good view of what was going on in the field.  It had a fairly decent selection of food and a kids zone where they had simulated pitching and batting experiences with real major league players.

I also recently saw Forgetting Sarah Marshall, which was hilarious!  I really dont know how to rank that movie with Knocked Up and Superbad.  All three were funny and were good in their own way.  (I wasn't a huge fan of 40yr old Virgin, just didn't think it was that funny).  Although Sarah Marshall does get a leg up on the other two because there are two HOT girls in it.  The first was the blondie, Kristen Bell.  And the second was the brunette, Milas Kunis.  She's the girl from That 70's Show.  After watching her in this movie I developed a huge crush on her!  She was SO hot and SO cute.  But I will say no more because I'm already so happy with my baby!   Sarah Marshall has unofficially kicked off the summer blockbuster season.  I'm excited!

And I also must give a special shoutout to the Wizards for beating the suck ass Cavs yesterday.  We're still down in the series 3-2 but still have a chance to pull it out!  CB3, aka Tough Juice, aka C-But, was a beast yesterday and carried the Wiz to victory.  Ok that's enough of my nerd sports rant.  Is there such thing as being a nerd sports fan?  It almost would seem like an oxymoron of sorts but I dont know.  I can definitely see from the female perspective that when a guy starts going off on sports, it could be a huge turnoff.  They (girls) just don't understand sometimes! =)

An A Day!

What is an A day?  It's a day that goes really well you need to grade it an A!  So many things happened I have to list them out for you, in no order of importance:

1) Gchat is no longer blocked at work!!!!  Woot!  This is crucial because it lets me kill sometime at work when things are going slow.  Also it lets me chat with my friends and keep in touch with everyone better.  When I didn't have it for the past month it felt like I wasl walled away from everyone!  Crossing my fingers this is not a temporary thing.

2) I completed a bunch of things on my punchlist including finally getting my router working.  It took me so long to figure it out what was wrong.  It turned out there was a faulty ethernet cable!  Mother F'er, I thought it was some setting issue the entire time.

3) It's a beautiful day outside.  BEAUTIFUL!  Summer is coming!

4) I finally got my Coffee table today and it fits PERFECTLY.  Perfect spacing, perfect color, perfect height, and it's got these wheels on the bottom so you can move it easily, but the wheels are hidden and it looks like a normal 4 legged coffee table.  I love it!  It took me so long to get one because I'm very picky and no where would sell the coffee table that I want.  I like things that are clean and simple.  I wanted a round modern or comtemporary coffee table that was about 3ft in diameter.  I had these constraints because it had to fit with my sectional sofa.  Everywhere I looked it'd either be too big, ugly, way too expensive, or glass.  I didn't want glass because that makes me nervous about accidentally breaking it.

Anyways my place is finally coming together and I love it!  All I need now is an LCD tv and to decide whether or not I want to hang it up on the wall or just sit it on a tv console.  Normally I'd hang it up on the wall and it'd be a no brainer.  But if I had to move next year I don't want to waste money installing it on the wall.  Why get it professionally installed?  Because I don't want to screw it up installing it myself and have the tv tear down my wall and break when it drops on the floor.  I will probably wait till closer to summer to get this tv and I'll probably just get a tv console to be safe.   Anyways I can't wait to have like game nights, bbqs, girls nights, guy nights, and just people over this summer after my test.  It'll be grand!

Something must be flowing in the air because I'm not the only one in a good mood.  Check out HannaBKim and she's in a great mood too.  What a day.  It's just a great day, an A day.

The Return of Agent Zero!

If you don't know who Agent Zero is and you live in the DC area, then shame on you!  He's only the biggest sports icon in the DC area.  He's the first bonafide superstar athlete recognized on the national level.  Anyways he made his return after almost 4 months off from a knee injury!  The wizards are banged up now but now they have their whole team back and ready for the big playoff push!  Feel the excitement!

Anyways, the April month also brings in tons of birthdays!   I forgot when the most popular month for birthdays is.  I remember reading one time where it goes like the fall is when most babies are born because during the winter time, people have nothing better to do than to make babies since it's so cold outside.  Thus, about 9months later is the fall time.  Well it seems like the Spring time is when a lot of people I know at least have bdays.  My baby's bday is this Friday =) and to my other April babies, Bo, Tracy, Amit, and Helen, Happy Birthdays to you all!  Some of us have our big 2-5 celebration this year.  Mine's coming up and I haven't really decided what I wanted to do yet.  I usually don't do much for my birthday and/or I just happen to be out of town.  But this year I want to do something!  I kinda want to go clubbing but I want to make it convenient for everyone to go to and have fun.  I could also have people over for a bbq at my place.  I want to do something where it's more the merrier.  I feel like a big dinner at some restaurant wouldn't be good.  Any suggestions?  I guess I still have plenty of time to decide.

Ok well that's it for today.  Almost the weekend!!!  I really wish we had 4 day weeks and 3  day weekends.  You know, just to make it more fair because the weekend days really feel outnumbered sometimes from the week days and I dont think that's fair.

April Fools!

This used to be one of my favorite days of the year.  I love pulling pranks and "punking" people.  Earlier this year when I got my new cell number, I made some nice calls to some of you as Jamal or Naquita.  It was great.  If I didn't get to call you, consider yourselves lucky.  The college dorms used to be the perfect place for pranks.  At work is a little risky though.  No pranks for me today.  Oh well.

Baseball season started this week and it marked the openning of the Nats brand new stadium which I heard was beautiful.  I got tickets to the Cubs game later this month.  I can't wait to check it out.

So I'm at an age now where weddings are supposed to be happening left and right.  But so far this year I've got ZERO weddings to go to.  What is up with that?!?  I know we got Thy and Bo's wedding soon.  But I got no one lined up next!  Who wants to step up and take one for the team?  It'd be tons of fun!  Don't look at me though.  I'm still at least a couple years away from getting married.  I do sometimes think what mine will be like assuming I do get married one day.  The wedding of Tim and Anita Yee.  Does that have a nice ring to it?  haha jk jk.  Oh that brings me to something else.  I guess I'm a bit old-fashioned or naive but I guess I usually assumed the girl to always take the guy's last name.  But Malina didn't do it and I know some others who won't.  I can totally understand though if the name's already a known commodity in the industry like all the celebrity females out there you wouldn't want to change your name.   I can't really think of another instance where a girl would keep her name though.  Maybe its just a new era, the 21st century.  I just thought it was interesting.

I also wonder which one of my friends is gonna pop out the first baby.  Malina/Eric?  My money's on them.  Maybe Malina's already trying to start?  haha jk jk.  10 years ago I remember all of my friends as freshmen in high school.  10 years from now most of us will have our own families and babies.  Instead of "Hey guys lets go out tonight."  It'll be "Hey lil Tim wants to play with lil Amit"  or "I think lil Tim's got a crush on lil Hanna"  haha how cute.   Anyways, I tend to get ahead of myself sometimes.  I'm 24 now going on 25 and I feel like we're in the prime of our lives and we should all enjoy where we are at now.  I need to remind myself to take things slow, enjoy the moment we're in and baby steps......till next time suckas.......
